3rd Wine and Paella Festival

The Harvest Festival, “Saffron”, in San José Lavista will be on July 27th. Many great attractions characterize this event including the gastronomy exhibition, tasting of paellas prepared by chefs and juries Abel Hernández and Pablo Carrera as well as 20 chefs competing for title of “best paella”, grape treading, wine tasting and touring of the San José Lavista winery, an open bar of distillates, a craft beer display and live music.

The festival director, Ximena Seoane, said each year, the gastronomic experiences and traditional grape treading are held. She mentioned that Hugo D´Acosta, the renowned winemaker of the winery, will be present. In addition to being a gastronomic party, “Saffron” will again carry out a special paella contest. Chefs and restaurants will be selected beforehand and attendees and judges will taste, and determine the winners.

The categories and prizes to the winners of the contest will be: • Best Paella Award – 2 plane tickets to Spain • Innovation Award by Hacienda San José Lavista – gifts from sponsors • “La Favorita, People’s Choice” – gifts from sponsors 
The festival will be held from 1pm until 11pm. Tickets are already on sale through the Boletea Tickets system.
