Crystal Meth: the Most Consumed Substance by Children of Guanajuato

Guanajuato ranks second nationally in terms of consumption of the drug known as crystal methamphetamine, known commonly as “crystal” in children 10-14 years old, according to the Epidemiological Surveillance System of Addictions.

The consumption of crystal in these children concerns authorities, since it turns the state of Guanajuato into a bullseye in the country.
The Ministry of Health of Guanajuato indicated that the illegal drugs most consumed among children and adolescents are marijuana and Crystal. Just in 2018 and so far this year, 3,000 addicted children have received treatment: 1,000+ from marijuana and 2,000+ from crystal.
