1st San Miguel Summer Festival, Starring Molotov

The festival will start tomorrow, at 2pm, complete with food sales, skating demos and performances by 6 local bands. This all leads up to the Mexican rock concert by Molotov.

Paulina Cadena, director of Culture and Traditions, announced the Summer Music Festival at a press concert which will be held tomorrow, June 21st at the San Miguel Forum. 

Tickets are available at globalticket.com.mx, at the Ángela Peralta theater ticket office, at the Tourist Council office or at Casa de la Cultura del Chorro. Presale tickets are 400 pesos while tickets are 450 pesos at the gate.

The festival aims to bring together multiple genres and audiences. Molotov is a rock and comedy rap band from Mexico City who have been performing songs with dueling Spanish and English lyrics. They blend heavy guitar riffs with basslines intertwined with clever, yet sometimes politically-charged lyrics. Each member has a different style which allows them to fuse various genres including cumbia, funk, rock and rap. All members sing and they switch instruments often, so you never know who will be playing what!
