One Peso Increase to Local Buses

On Monday, May 27th, the Secretary of Government and City Council, Gonzalo González, agreed with Transportes Insurgentes, Union of San Miguel de Allende Permisionarios, Transportes Rodríguez San Miguel de Allende S.A. of C.V. and the Hermanos Aldama Cooperative Society, to comply with the prior City Council resolution to raise the regular and preferential rate of local buses.

The prior resolution was passed on March 9th, 2017, in a meeting between bus owners, citizens, and public officials.

Currently, the “regular rate” is 7 pesos and the “preferential rate” is 3.5 pesos per ride on local buses. The new “regular rate” will be 8 pesos and take effect on June 15th whereas the “preferential rate” for concessionaires and pensioners will be 4 pesos and take effect on July 15th.
