Horses and Sirens and Drums, Oh My!

Hundreds took to the streets today for the Independence Day parade here in San Miguel. Residents and visitors alike enjoyed the parade which made its way up the Ancha de San Antonio into centro and around the Jardin Principal.

Some of the notable sights were the drum corps, the Red Cross, the various student organizations and universities, the Volunteer Fire Department, and plenty of horses!

Sirens wailed and cameras snapped as the procession made its way through the streets. But don’t worry – the crowds have dissipated and you can now go for your afternoon strolls (or enjoy the afternoon on your terrace with friends).
