Still Waiting For An Answer
A group of at least 20 Traffic Officers have been holding a peaceful demonstration at the presidencia municipal since 7AM, Sunday.
The city government made a press release that the Secretary of Government Gonzalo González, is willing to have a meeting with them at the C4 Center, but the traffic officials resist to a meeting with him. Earlier, in an interview, a female officer said that they want to be heard by Mayor Luis Alberto Villarreal.
The mayor still has not met with the Transit Officers; they are pausing the protest, as of 9:15pm and will resume the demonstration Monday, at 7am. The peaceful protesters have a document with several talking points:
- To not be fired for protesting.
- To be treated with dignity by the Secretary of Public Safety.
- An increase in life insurance.
- New equipment.
- Complete information from the 911 emergency call center when they are on their way to an emergency.
- A salary increase A new plan of safety and respect.
