2 Suspects Captured In Murder of 2 Police Officers

The State Prosecutor’s Office and Municipal Police managed to capture 2 probable perpetrators in the murder of two local San Miguel police officers, which occurred this afternoon in San Miguel de Allende.
At approximately 1:40 p.m. on Tuesday, the Regional Prosecutor’s Office D learned of the assault on the police officers in the independencia neighborhood. 

The Criminal Investigation Agency of the Prosecutor’s Office initiated investigations, obtaining accurate information that the aggressors were fleeing aboard a Honda CRV. An operation with the Ministerio Público was coordinated, locating the vehicle. The two armed men inside the vehicle were apprehended. 

Moments after the arrest, they reinforced by soldiers of the Mexican Army and State Police Officers. The detainees have been brought before the State Prosecutor’s Office, where the investigation file continues to be integrated; evidence continues to be gathered by crime scene investigators.
