Guanajuato in NYC

Governor of Guanajuato, Diego Sinhue Rodríguez Vallejo, went on a working tour of New York to create alliances to attract tourism and new investments to the state.  He met with Consul of Mexico in NY, Jorge Islas López. “We agreed how to continue working in favor of our migrants so that their guarantees and their human rights are respected.  We also talked about strengthening the work to continue promoting Guanajuato and its tourist attractions; we will soon see results of this meeting, “said the governor.

The governor is accompanied by the Municipal President of San Miguel de Allende, Luis Alberto Villarreal García and the Secretary of Tourism, Teresa Matamoros Montes; as well as by Local Deputy, Katya Soto Escamilla, municipal officials and representatives of the San Miguel Tourist Council.

Travel + Leisure considered San Miguel de Allende as the best destination to visit in all of Mexico and Latin America. The governor commented, “it is good news that Guanajuato is recognized and in New York, by this magazine, we  are full of pride and we will continue with that commitment every day.”

Luis Alberto Villarreal García assured that San Miguel de Allende continues to implement strategies to position San Miguel with national pride. 
“We are very clear that through teamwork and synergy we can continue to promote investments and the arrival of visitors to our state.  We must not slow down. This award from the magazine is an acknowledgment to all that work, “he said. In addition, the governor and the delegation held a meeting with investors of a well-known hotel chain in the United States, aiming to arrive in San Miguel de Allende.
