Did You Know That…?

In the La Cieneguita community, the Lord of Health is worshipped. 
In the fiesta each April, masked men dance in circles to violin music. When the music stops, the men each turn to their previously chosen partner and beat each other with a stick from a quince tree. 
They participate in hopes to be granted miracle, to improve their behavior, or simply because they want to.
Afterwards, they attend a mass.
