Mother and Partner Kill 7 Year-old Son

A terrible crime dismayed the inhabitants of the community of Juventino Rosas, Guanajuato.
In March, a seven-year-old boy’s life was snatched by his mother and her partner for not wanting to fulfill a whim.

The child, identified as Karol Ramón, was constantly mistreated by his mother and her partner. These women ended up giving him a brutal beating after the boy refused to dress as a girl.

The furious women hit Karol in his stomach and his head, to such an extent that they caused profound damage to these organs. After the beating, the mother, Margarita, took the child to a community hospital; he died on the way there.

At the autopsy they discovered that Karol’s body was covered in bruises as well as scars from cigarette burns and from impacts with large objects.
This caused the authorities to carry out an investigation on the couple. With the help of the neighbors they learned that Ramón was constantly beaten with a belt, and even with a hammer, a whip and a chair, and that he spent several days without eating.

A judge determined that the mother will spend at least four months in preventive detention accused of homicide, and the police continue to search for her partner, who is at large.
